Given the proper care your Teak Furniture will last a lifetime. Many pieces are passed from generation to generation.

The versatility of Teak Furniture is the products inherent ability to be functional both indoors and outdoors. No matter where you place your Teak Furniture rest assured that with the proper care and regular treatment, will enhance its surroundings – home or patio.

The natural color of the wood – from blond to the rich deep caramels – can be preserved and continue to look like the first day you became the proud owner.

Your treatment is greatly dependent upon where the furniture is being used. Indoor use is going to require much less care and treatment than out-doors. Your use of the best and highest quality products is a key factor in its care and treatment.

You’ll find a number of products specifically formulated for Teak Furniture. Their diligent use will allow for the retention of a smooth, lustrous and rich colored finish for many years.

Sometimes the outdoor use of Teak Furnite generates a mildew build-up. This can be easily removed with plain soap and water. Be aware that using a power washer can damage the finish and accelerate deterioration. It’s advisable to wash by hand with a nontoxic soap.

The natural weathering of your Teak Furniture is preferred by most Teak aficionados. Natural weathering is simply a matter of leaving the Teak outside; exposed to the elements. The changing weather will do the job for you. It's always enjoyable to see the aging process take place over a period of time; watching that deep silvering of the wood.

It’s equally as enjoyable to see the deep natural color spring back to life when treat your teak after a period of time. Annual treatment is usually enough to keep your Teak Furniture in top condition.

Some people prefer to apply a finish to their teak furniture, which is equally as acceptable.

A good oil sealer can be applied if the teak furniture is going to be used indoors exclusively. This oil based treatment does not do well outdoors. The reaction of the combination of mildew and the oil sealer cause a deep black patina to appear.

Teak Furniture should not be painted. The paint interferes with the Teak’s natural aging and the reaction of the natural oils in the wood and the paint will cause blistering.

As you can see there is very little you have to do to keep your Teak Furniture in top condition for years to come.
